1964-1966 Power Brake Conversion(With Manual trans and disc brakes) |
|
Part#PBC-M1 Fits 1964-1966 WITH MANUAL TRANS AND DISC BRAKES. This setup utilizes a new American made Bendix power brake booster with increased sensitivity and a 5 year warranty on the Booster and a 1 year warranty on the new large capacity dual camber Master Cylinder. The specially designed mounting bracket allows a direct bolt on while retaining the original brake pedal assembly and the clearance of the shock tower. The puch rod is adjustable to move the pedal height up or down. The only modification necessary is the bending of new brake lines from the master cylinder t othe distribution block(C5ZZ-2B257-A LISTED BELOW)Block is recommended for all 1964-1966 disc brake cars.1967-1970 cars already have one from the factory but is a good idea to replace it.This is the economical solution for the Mustang owner looking for an improved braking system along with the added safety of a dual camber master cylinder.Note:BOOSTER REQUIRES A MINIMUM 15 POUNDS OF ENGINE VACUUM PRESSURE AT IDLE FOR MAXIMUM STOPPING POWER.SOME HIGH PERFORMANCE HIGH LIFT CAMSHAFTS MAY NOT CREATE ENOUGH VACUUM.STOCK ENGINE PRESSURE IS 18 POUNDS.
